  Audrey Bergouignan (Strasbourg, France)

Audrey Bergouignan

Audrey Bergouignan leads an International Associated Lab (LIA) between the French Research Center forScientific Research (CNRS) Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (IPHC) and the University of Colorado Division of Endocrinology and Anschutz Health & Wellness Center that aims at addressing the health impact of the global adoption of sedentary behaviors. Her research investigates the regulation of body weight and metabolic health by the biological (age, sex, phenotype) and environmental (physical activity, sedentary behaviors and diet) factors. She is particularly interested in delineating the mechanisms by which sedentary behaviors contribute to the development and progression of metabolic diseases, and developing innovative strategy to prevent the adverse health effects of sedentary behaviors.

 José Viña (Valence, Espagne)

José Viña

José Viña is full Professor in the Department of Physiology at Valencia University (Spain) where he leads the FRESHAGE laboratory. This research unit focuses on the understanding of cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in muscle aging and Alzheimer’s disease, and especially the role played by oxidative stress. Some of his current researches explore the mechanisms involved in skeletal muscle mass loss related to aging (i.e. sarcopenia), and the preventive effects of physical exercise to limit this muscle loss. Professor Viña received numerous awards and honours, and has been especially awarded Doctor Honoris Causa of Rennes 2 university.

 Arlette Gratas-Delamarche (Rennes, France)

Arlette Gratas-Delamarche

Arlette Gratas-Delamarche is physician and retired Professor of Physiology of Rennes 2 university. She led during 25 years the research group “Sport, Health, Nutrition” of M2S laboratory where she developed researches on the preventive and therapeutic roles of physical activity, especially in interaction with nutrition. She conducted several studies aiming to identify the physiopathological mechanisms of physical inactivity. The Professor Gratas-Delamarche is now involved in different organizations aimed to train professionals in adapted physical activity.

Adrien Rossary (Clermont-Ferrand, France)

Adrien Rossary

Adrien Rossary is a pharmacist and associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Clermont-Ferrand, in the ECREIN team (Cellular Micro-Environment, Immunomodulation and Nutrition) of  the INRA-UCA Human Nutrition Unit. Currently, this work focuses on the metabolic characterization of immunocompetent cells, particularly in terms of oxidative stress, inflammation, cytokines and metabolites in a context of breast carcinogenesis in obese situations. These research studies could contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms by which physical activity modulates the anti-tumour response.

Amin Isanejad (Tehran, Iran)

Amin Isanejad

Amin Isanezhad is currently working as assistant professor at Shahed University, Tehran, Iran and has collaboration with Iranian ministry of health and medical education as national consultant of physical activity program for health improvement. As an exercise physiologist, he develops some experiences in preclinical and clinical studies and was interested in examine the effects of physical activity and exercise in cancer prevention and control. The majority of his current research is to study the effect of continuous and high intensity interval aerobic exercise training on the quality of life, cardiovascular function, adipokines and inflammatory markers in breast cancer survivors.

Sophie Cha (Rennes, France)
